Watercoloring Our World

$19.95Price

In this follow-up to “The Wonders of Watercolor,” Betsy helps you to expand your watercoloring abilities through the exploration of nature.

Building on the techniques covered in the previous study, “Watercoloring Our World” delves into the beauty of watercoloring natural subjects, specifically plants and animals.

With warmth and whimsy, Betsy will guide you through over 20 individual projects, providing you not only with instruction but also with multiple finished products that you can display or share. The projects are scaled for difficulty, and as you progress, you will be able to use your growing skillset to take on more complex compositions.

Throughout this study, you’ll be developing your artistic eye and gaining a more complex understanding of color values. Starting with simple projects that even beginners can tackle easily, you’ll begin to explore mixed media, expand your understanding of color, and learn to use symmetry as a guide for nature painting before you move into projects that combine all of your skills together.

This study is ideal for students age 10 to adult who either have completed “The Wonders of Watercolor” or already have a base of watercoloring abilities. This book is written with the understanding that participants already understand techniques such as making a wash, painting wet or dry, and making color blooms. If you do not know how to do these techniques, it is advised to start with “The Wonders of Watercolor” first.

This study can be bundled with "The Wonders of Watercolor" for a discounted price. To purchase both books together, see the separate listing for the bundle.
